The Kirkwood HLEPS/KUCC team and neighborhood-enbedded Support Program and Sanctuary provide complementary supportive services and assistance to the unhoused and underserved that have helped to build rapport and follow-up momentum with Kirkwood’s indigent neighbors plus meet their immediate needs.
These include providing boxed lunches, emergency food, snacks, water, bathrooms, hygiene supplies, transportation, emergency financial support, compassion and a place to get out of the elements. The Kirkwood HELPS Support Sanctuary also provides a dedicated private room for Intown Cares case managers to meet with clients one-on-one every Wednesday between 10 am - 2 pm and the Kirkwood HELPS Support Program team helps Intown Cares case managers with walk-in clients and outreach lunches.
